Cross boundary passengers advised to travel by rail during holidays

Transport Department (TD) has reminded passengers who intend to use the Lok Ma Chau - Huanggang cross boundary shuttle bus service during Labour Day holiday on May 1 to plan their journeys and to travel by rail via Lo Wu Control Point as far as possible.

A TD spokesman said: "As many passengers are expected to travel via the Lok Ma Chau Control Point during the holidays, they are advised to make their journeys during the less busy periods in late morning or early afternoon. The waiting time for the shuttle bus service could be longer than usual if traffic at the Lok Ma Chau crossing is busy."

Passengers should observe order and advice from the on-site staff when queuing at the Lok Ma Chau terminus.

They may call the New Hong Kong Bus Company enquiry hotline 2471 0792 for the queuing situation at San Tin Public Transport Interchange and listen to TV and radio broadcast for the latest traffic situation.
