PVRM Scheme third phase applications end on April 16

People wanting to apply for a Personalised Vehicle Registration Mark (PVRM) in the third invitation exercise should submit their applications on or before next Monday (April 16). The Transport Department today (April 12) warned that late applications would not be accepted.

Applications can be dropped in the collection box at any of the Transport Department's Licensing Offices or sent by post to Vehicle Registration Marks Unit, Transport Department, Room 506-508, 5/F, Harcourt House, 39 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Applications by mail will be accepted based on the date of the postmark. No payment of deposit is required at this stage.

Before completing the application forms, applicants should carefully read the Guidance Notes for Application. Each applicant can submit only one application in each exercise.  They should note that after the submission of applications, they cannot withdraw the application or change arrangements of the PVRM as stated in their application forms.

A department spokesman said that if applicants who were not selected by lot in the second exercise but who had authorised the department to roll over their applications, wanted to submit another application in the third exercise, they should take note of, and complete where appropriate, the part on Authorisation/Withdrawal of Authorisation in the application form.

The application forms (TD569) and Guidance Notes can be downloaded from the Transport Department website www.td.gov.hk, and are also available for collection at the department's Licensing Offices as well as the Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department. For enquiries, applicants can call the Transport Department Hotline at 2804 2600.
