Temporary traffic arrangements for rerouteing of Kimberley Road

Temporary traffic arrangements would be implemented on Kimberley Road from tomorrow (September 18) in connection with water mains replacement works, the Transport Department announced today (September 17).  

     A spokesman for the department said all vehicles would be prohibited from making a left turn from Carnarvon Road into Kimberley Road westbound.  "The section of Kimberley Road between Nathan Road and Carnarvon Road will be converted from two-way to one-way eastbound from 10am tomorrow (September 18) to March 31, 2008."
 
     "Affected vehicles on Carnarvon Road heading for Kimberley Road between Nathan Road and Carnarvon Road will be diverted via Kimberley Road eastbound, Austin Avenue, Austin Road, Pine Tree Road, Hillwood Road, Nathan Road and Kimberley Road."
 
     "Affected vehicles on Carnarvon Road heading for Nathan Road will be diverted via Granville Road or Kimberley Road eastbound, Austin Avenue, Austin Road, Pine Tree Road, Hillwood Road and Nathan Road," the spokesman said.
 
     "Appropriate traffic signs would be erected to guide motorists," he said.  He called on motorists to pay attention to the rerouteing, be patient and take heed of road signs and instructions of police officers at site.
