Cross-boundary bus service during Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays

The Transport Department today (September 21) reminded passengers intending to use the Lok Ma Chau-Huanggang cross boundary shuttle bus service (the Yellow Bus) during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, or the six Hong Kong-Huanggang cross boundary coach routes with fixed schedules and stopping points,  to plan their journeys and to travel by rail via Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau Control Point as far as possible.

"Many passengers are expected to use Lok Ma Chau Control Point or Shenzhen Bay Port during the holiday period.  Passengers are advised to make their journey during the less busy periods in late morning or early afternoon," a department spokesman said.

"The waiting time for the cross-boundary bus services could be longer if traffic at the control points are busy, so intending passengers should observe order and advice from the on-site staff," he said.

The spokesman advised passengers to pay attention to radio/TV broadcasts on traffic conditions, or to call 2471 0792 for the latest queueing situation with the Yellow Bus operator.
