PVRM Scheme fifth phase application ends on January 29

The Transport Department reminded people that those who want to apply for a Personalised Vehicle Registration Mark (PVRM) in the fifth invitation exercise should submit their applications on or before January 29.  Late application will not be accepted.

Applications can be dropped in the collection box at any of the department's Licensing Offices or sent by post to Vehicle Registration Marks Unit, Transport Department, Room 506-508, 5/F, Harcourt House, 39 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.  Applications by mail will be accepted based on the date of the postmark.  No payment of deposit is required at this stage.

Before completing the application forms, applicants should carefully read the Guidance Notes for Application.  Each applicant may only submit one application in each exercise.  They should note that after the submission of applications, they cannot withdraw the application or change arrangements of the PVRM as stated in their application forms.

Starting from January 20, applicants can make use of the new online service at the GovHK website to check the compliance of a proposed PVRM against the basic combination requirements before they put up applications.

A department spokesman added, "For applicants who were not selected by lot in the fourth exercise but have authorised the department to roll over their applications, if they want to submit another application in the fifth exercise, they should take note of, and complete where appropriate, the part on Authorisation/Withdrawal of Authorisation in the application form."

The application forms (TD569) and Guidance Notes can be downloaded from the department's website, www.td.gov.hk, and are also available for collection at its Licensing Offices as well as the Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department.  For enquiries, applicants can call the department's hotline at 2804 2600.
