Extension of KMB Route 68A service

Transport Department (TD) today (February 21) announced that the service of KMB Route 68A (Long Ping Estate-Kwai Hing MTR Station) will be extended to Tsing Yi MTR Station from Kwai Hing MTR Station with effect from tomorrow (February 22).

A TD spokesman said "This aims to strengthen alternative services to tie in with cancellation of Route 63M and 63P as part of the bus rationalisation programme in connection with the commissioning of West Rail last year."

KMB Route 68A will be operated at about 7-minute frequency during peak hours. A sectional fare of $8.7 will also be introduced at Hung Shui Kiu, Yuen Long for Tsing Yi bound journeys.

Passengers of KMB Route 68A using Octopus will be offered with concession fares when interchanging with KMB 248M to/from Cheung Wang or KMB 249M to/from Mayfair Garden.

Relevant notices will be posted inside the bus compartments, at the bus stops and terminuses.
