Special traffic and transport arrangements at the Peak this Sunday

     The Transport Department today (November 14) issued a reminder that special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 8.30am to 5pm this Sunday (November 16) in the Peak area to facilitate the holding of the Matilda Hospital Sedan Chair Race.  The arrangements include:

* Temporary closure of Mount Kellett Road to all vehicular traffic from 9.45am to noon.
* Intermittent closure of Plunkett's Road, Homestead Road, Jardine Bridge and the section of Peak Road service road near house no. 100 to all vehicular traffic from 9.45am to noon.
* Re-routing of the section of Mount Kellett Road from house no. 22 to house no. 78 to one-way traffic in a clockwise direction from 8.30am to 9.45am and from about noon to 5pm.
* Temporary diversion of green minibus route no. 1.

     Members of the public should note that vehicles parked illegally within the precinct of the special traffic and transport arrangements specified above will be towed away without prior notice.  Actual implementation of the arrangements may be varied by the police depending on the actual situation.
