Transport Department to hold 'Best Customer Service Awards'

     The Transport Department will hold the "Best Customer Service Awards 2008-2009" election from November 24-28. All the frontline staff of the Driving Services Section and the Licensing Section (including the Licensing Unit, the Vehicle Inspection and Records Unit, the Cross Boundary Unit and the Public Vehicles Unit) will have a chance to be nominated by the public for their best services provided.

     The Transport Department spokesman said today (November 17), "The objective of the award is to encourage our frontline staff to provide continued quality service to the public, and to exhibit our belief of 'Putting Our Hearts Into It' in our service. We are determined to provide quality customer service that meets expectation of our customers.

     "People are invited to visit the participating offices during the election period and nominate the best frontline staff for the award," the spokesman said.

     A total of 41 individual and group awards will be presented. Announcement of the results and the award presentation ceremony will be held in early 2009.
