Cross boundary bus services during Easter and Ching Ming holidays

*********************************************************

The Transport Department today (April 2) reminded passengers who intended to take the Lok Ma Chau-Huanggang cross boundary shuttle bus or the six Hong Kong-Huanggang cross boundary coach routes during the Easter and Ching Ming holidays to plan their journeys in advance and to travel by rail via Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Points as far as possible.

"Many passengers are expected to travel via the Lok Ma Chau Control Point or Shenzhen Bay Port during the holiday period. Passengers are advised to make their journeys during the less busy periods in the late morning or early afternoon," a department spokesman said.

"The waiting time for the cross boundary bus services may be longer than usual if traffic is busy at the control points. Passengers should observe order and heed advice from the on-site staff," he said.

The spokesman advised passengers to keep track of radio/TV broadcasts on traffic conditions.
