Appointment booking service for vehicle licence renewal available from tomorrow

     To further enhance efficiency and convenience to the public, the Transport Department (TD) will introduce an "Appointment Booking Service for Renewal of Vehicle Licence" tomorrow (March 27) to allow the public to make appointments for renewal of vehicle licence at TD licensing offices via the Internet or by phone.

     "Through this user-friendly appointment booking system, applicants can reserve time slots for counter service free of charge simply by calling the 24-hour booking hotline 3763 8080, or through the Internet at  www.gov.hk/vabs  " a TD spokesman said.

     "With the reservation, applicants can renew their licences in person or by agent at the designated counter of the licensing offices in accordance with the reserved slots, together with completed application forms and required documents.  This will save them time in queueing for service at the licensing offices."
