Special traffic and transport arrangements in So Kon Po and Causeway Bay this Wednesday

The Transport Department today (November 15) reminded the public that special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in So Kon Po and Causeway Bay this Wednesday (November 17) to facilitate the holding of a football match at Hong Kong Stadium.
The special traffic and transport arrangements mainly include:
* From about 5.30pm, Caroline Hill Road between Leighton Road and Cotton Path, and Hysan Avenue westbound between Sunning Road and Hoi Ping Road will be closed.
* From about 9.15pm, Caroline Hill Road, Eastern Hospital Road, Eastern Hospital Road service road, Cotton Path, Link Road northbound, Hoi Ping Road and Leighton Road will be closed for the dispersal of spectators. The road closures will be lifted after the crowds disperse.
* During the period of road closures, Citybus Route 5B, Green Minibus Routes 14M, 26 and 30, and Residents' Service Route HR 51 will be temporarily diverted.
* On-street car parking spaces and car parks within the affected areas will be suspended.
In addition, horse races will be held at the Happy Valley Racecourse on the same day. The Transport Department anticipates that the traffic in Happy Valley and Causeway Bay will be very congested. Motorists are advised to avoid driving to the affected areas. In case of traffic congestion, motorists should exercise tolerance and patience, and follow the instructions of the Police. People planning to go to the affected areas are advised to use public transport.
The Transport Department and the Police will closely monitor the traffic situation and will implement appropriate measures whenever necessary. Motorists and the public are advised to be alert to the latest traffic news on radio and television.
