Special traffic and transport arrangements for Mid-Autumn

To facilitate Mid-Autumn Festival activities, the Transport Department will implement special traffic and transport measures on September 10 to 14. Public transport services will also have special arrangements.

There is a special Part-time Pedestrian Scheme, road closures, suspension of car parks, parking spaces, taxi stands, public light bus stands and special prohibited zones all over Hong Kong Island and the New Territories. Special traffic arrangements will be implemented in areas such as the Peak, Repulse Bay, Shek O and Stanley. The police will also close roads and divert traffic depending on conditions.

For public transport services arrangements:

MTR Island Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Kwun Tong Line, Tseung Kwan O Line and Tung Chung Line will be operated overnight from September 11 to the following day.

Both KCRC last northbound and southbound trains departing from Hung Hom Station and Sheung Shui Station respectively on September 11 will be extended to 2am the following day.

The last departures for all LRT routes on September 11 will be extended to 1am the following day. Frequency for some routes will be strengthened subject to demand.

The Peak tram service on September 11 will be extended to 4am the following day and it will also be extended on September 12 and 13 to 2am the following day. The frequency of its service will be strengthened subject to passenger demand.

The tram service on September 11 will be extended to 2.49am the following day. The frequency of its service will be strengthened subject to passenger demand on September 10, 12,13 and 14.

Special extensions of operating hours, suspension/relocation of bus terminuses, route diversions and special routes will be made by bus companies.

Some green minibus services will be extended and some routes will be diverted.

Ferry services will be strengthened according to passenger demand.
