Applications invited for operating green minibus routes

     The Transport Department (TD) published a Gazette notice today (November 23) to invite  applications for passenger service licences for the operation of four public light bus (scheduled) routes (green minibus routes) in Kowloon.

     The four routes are:

1. Cruise Terminal to Kowloon Bay (Telford Gardens) (circular);
2. Fu Shan Public Transport Terminus to Kowloon City (circular) (Kowloon public light bus (scheduled) route No. 33, which had ceased operation);
3. Hilltop Garden/King Lai Court to Diamond Hill Station (existing Kowloon public light bus (scheduled) route No. 33A); and
4. Hilltop Garden to Wong Tai Sin Station (existing Kowloon public light bus (scheduled) route No. 33M).

     Application forms are obtainable free of charge from the following offices:.  

(a) TD New Territories Regional Office, 7/F, Mong Kok Government Offices, 30 Luen Wan Street, Kowloon; and
(b) TD Hong Kong Licensing Office, 3/F, United Centre, 95 Queensway, Hong Kong.

     Applicants should refer to the details of the routes and "Guidance Notes for Applicants" provided when completing the application form.

     Completed application forms must be submitted in a plain white envelope sealed and marked on the outside of the envelope with "Application for Passenger Service Licence in Respect of the Packages of Public Light Bus (Scheduled) Routes Gazetted in November 2012" and placed in the TD Tender Box situated at the reception counter of the TD Headquarters at 41/F, Immigration Tower, 7 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, before noon on December 21 (Friday). Applications by any other means or submitted late will not be considered.
