Latest situation on public transport (4.50 pm)

No report of major transport incidents has been received as at 4.50 pm today (September 2) since the typhoon signal no. 8 is issued.

On land, the MTR is providing normal service. All MTR urban lines will operate at a five-minute interval after 5 pm. KCR East Rail is operating at a three to four- minute per headway, while LRT have been providing normal services. Airport Express rail service is not affected. KMB, NWFB, and Citybus have maintained limited services. Service of peak tram was suspended at 4pm while the tram service will be suspended by 5 pm. Yellow Bus has remained normal services until further notice.

On Lantau Island, the New Lantao Bus (NLB) Company provides limited bus services. NLB route 2, 3, 4 and 23 were suspended while feeder routes for MTR Tung Chung Station remain in service.

At sea, all ferry services have been suspended except Fortune Ferry Company Limited's (Kwun Tong - North Point) last sailing was departed at 4.30pm.

The Central Mid-Levels Escalator and Walk system was suspended at 4.20 pm until further notice.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully and listen to radio broadcast about latest road condition.
