Nominations for Best Customer Service Award 2002 begin on January 21

Nominations for the best frontline staff of the Transport Department (TD) to compete for the 'Best Customer Service Award 2002' will begin from tomorrow (January 21) and will last five days until January 25.

A TD spokesman said: "The objective of the award is to recognize the good service provided to members of the public by the frontline staff of the Licensing Division, Driving Services Section and Vehicle Examination Division.

"The award will also help to further promote and achieve the performance pledges of the Department as well as demonstrate the department's continued commitment to improving the quality of customer service to the public."

He said members of the public visiting the Licensing Offices, Public Vehicles Unit, Driving Offence Points Office, Driving Licence Records Office, Vehicle Records Office, Driving Test Centres, Driving Test Appointment Offices and Vehicle Examination Centres during the above-said nomination period would be invited to nominate the best frontline staff members for the Award.

They just simply need to complete a nomination form and drop it into the ballot box located in the office.

Results of the Best Service Award will be announced in end February.

A lucky draw will be held in end February to select 40 nominators who will each be presented with a gift coupon worth $200 as a token of the department's appreciation for their support.

The Best Customer Service Award 2002 is held to tie in with "Serving the Community Festival 2002"organised by the Efficiency Unit.
