Traffic and transport arrangements for opening of North Point Ferry Pier Public Transport Interchange

The Transport Department (TD) today (May 12) reminded the public that with effect from 5am on May 14 (Saturday), the North Point Ferry Bus Terminus will be relocated to the new North Point Ferry Pier Public Transport Interchange on Java Road between Tin Chiu Street and Kam Hong Street.

In connection with the opening of the North Point Ferry Pier Public Transport Interchange, the following traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented:

The traffic arrangements will include:

Harbour Parade will be closed. Vehicles on Shu Kuk Street heading for Java Road via Harbour Parade will be diverted via North Point Estate Lane westbound and Tong Shui Road southbound; and

The service road of North Point Ferry Pier will be closed (except for access to North Point Ferry Pier). Vehicles on Shu Kuk Street heading for Java Road via this service road will be diverted via North Point Estate Lane westbound and Tong Shui Road southbound.

The public transport arrangements will include:

The termini of Citybus routes 10, 41A, 85 and A11 and New World First Bus routes 23, 27, 38, 42, 42C, 63, 65, 82 and 682C will be relocated from the North Point Ferry Bus Terminus to the North Point Ferry Pier Public Transport Interchange.

The existing taxi stand on the service road of North Point Ferry Pier will be temporarily relocated 60 metres westward to Shu Kuk Street until further notice.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists. The bus companies will put up notices at the North Point Ferry Bus Terminus and the North Point Ferry Pier Public Transport Interchange to inform passengers of the above public transport arrangements.
