Special Ferry Services to Joss House Bay

The Transport Department advises members of public that special ferry services plying between North Point and Joss House Bay will be provided by Discovery Bay Transportation Services Limited during the Tin Hau Festival period (May 4 and May 5). As the sailing arrangement is different from that of last year, the Department urges the public to pay attention to the following change in service details:

* 30-hour successive overnight public services between North Point and Joss House Bay from 9.45 am on May 4 to 4.10 pm on May 5.
* Two 300-seat air-conditioned fast ferries will be deployed to serve passengers.
* Each trip is expected to take 30 minutes.
* The first sailing will depart from North Point Pier and last sailing will depart from Joss House Bay.
* A total of 136 trips have been arranged at 25-minute intervals.
* Adult ticket is priced at $30 and child ticket for $20;. 1-year-old baby is free of charge.
* Tickets could be purchased by Otopus Card or cash.
* Reservation is not required.

DBTSL will provide additional sailings to cater for additional demand. Passengers are advised to be patient when waiting at the piers as the service this year will be more frequent although the carrying capacity of vessels are smaller than last year's.
