Operator of Tsuen Wan Driving School selected

The Transport Department has selected Quality Driving Training Centre Limited through an open tender to fit-out, manage, operate and maintain the new Tsuen Wan Driving School to be set up at the Tsuen Wan Transport Complex Multi-storey Car Park.

A contract will be signed between the representative of the company and Commissioner for Transport, Mr Robert Footman, at a ceremony to be held tomorrow (Saturday).

After the award of contract, fitting-out work for the school will be carried out and be completed within 120 days for operational commencement around February 2000.

The contract will expire on December 31, 2003, with an option for extension by Government up to 12 months.

The school will provide training for learner drivers of light goods vehicles and private cars.

Tenders for the contract were invited between July 23 and September 3, 1999, and two tenders were received.
