Cross harbour route 691 and 693 merge into a new route no. 692

The Transport Department (TD) today (August 26) reminds passengers that the merging of cross harbour routes 691 (Hang Hau - Macau Ferry) and 693 (Sheung Tak - Exchange Square) into a new route 692 (Hang Hau - Exchange Square) with a new fare at $12.8 will take place from Wednesday (August 28).

For Central (Exchange Square) bound, route 692 will operate via Po Ning Road, Chung Wa Road, Pui Shing Road and then Tong Ming Street in lieu of Po Lam Road North to serve Sheung Tak area. Sheung Tak residents can take new route 692 on Tong Ming Street outside Sheung Tak Shopping Centre. After departure from this en-route bus stop, route 692 will follow the routeing of route 693 via Eastern Harbour Crossing, King's Road, Tsing Fung Street flyover and Gloucester Road toward Exchange Square.

For Hang Hau bound, route 692 will depart from Exchange Square Bus Terminus and operate via Connaught Road Central, Harcourt Road and then follow the routeing of 691 to Queensway, Hennessy Road, Yee Wo Street, Causeway Road and King's Road to Eastern Harbour Crossing. After leaving Tseung Kwan O Tunnel, route 692 will pass through Tong Ming Street, Po Ning Road, Chung Wa Road and Pui Shing Road before terminating at Hang Hau (North) Bus Terminus.

In addition, morning special trips of route 692P will be operated from Sheung Tak to Exchange Square at 7.40 am, 7.50 am, 8.00 am and 8.10 am on Mondays to Saturdays (except public holidays). The routeing of 692P is identical to route 692 with the fare at $12.8. Additional trips of route 692P may be operated subject to the passengers' demand.

Notices will be put up at all bus stops along the route for passengers' information. Regulators will be on site to give guidance to passengers if necessary.
