Public transport arrangements for 24-hour LMC boundary crossing

Transport Department (TD) today (January 25) reminded that the following public transport services will be arranged for members of the public to tie in with the 24-hour boundary crossing at Lok Ma Chau starting from midnight on January 27.

The Lok Ma Chau-Huanggang Cross Boundary Shuttle Bus Service (the "Yellow Bus") will commence 24-hour service with effect from 0001 hr on January 27. In the extended hours between 0001 hrs and 0630 hrs, it will provide services at 10 to 15-minute frequencies at a single-trip fare of HK$7.

TD has also arranged with the operators of the existing feeder services to provide overnight feeder public transport services to Lok Ma Chau (San Tin) Public Transport Interchange (PTI). They include: KMB Route N277 to Yuen Long (West) Bus Terminus; GMB Route 44B to Tuen Mun Ferry Pier and GMB Route 79S to Tin Shui Wai Town Centre and KMB N76 to Sheung Shui Landmark North.

Details of the overnight feeder services from midnight to 6.30 am are:

"Passengers may also make use of urban and NT taxi services as well as public light bus services to and from the San Tin Public Transport Interchange to interchange to the Yellow Bus for Lok Ma Chau Control Point."

Transport Department will closely monitor and review the service level and passenger demand for public transport services following 24-hour operation of the Lok Ma Chau Crossing. Services will be strengthened to meet passenger demand as necessary.
