Latest situation on public transport (7.50 am)

Public transport services have generally resumed normal.

On land, the MTR, KCR, and LRT have been providing normal services. The services of KMB, NWFB, Citybus, New Lantao Bus, Peak Tram and Hong Kong Tramways have resumed normal.

All ferry services, including the one plying between Tuen Mun-Tung Chung-Sha Lo Wan-Tai O have resumed normal.

The container terminals have resumed operation. Truck drivers are reminded to pay attention to the special arrangement of handling of goods announced by the container terminals. As traffic in Kwai Chung area is expected to be very busy, members of the public are advised to avoid going to the area unless absolutely necessary and to travel on MTR.

Besides, Transport Department will resume normal services today. All Vehicle Examination Centres will start operation at 8.30 am, while the Licensing Offices in Hong Kong, Kowloon, Kwun Tong and Sha Tin will be open at 9.00 am. All Driving Examination Centres will also operate as their normal office hours.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully and listen to radio broadcast about latest traffic condition.
