Latest situation on public transport (2)

Public transport services have begun to resume normal with the cancellation of all tropical cyclone warning signal.

On land, the MTR, KCR, and LRT have been providing normal services. The services of KMB, NWFB, Citybus, New Lantao Bus and Hong Kong Tramways have resumed normal.

All ferry services except the one plying between Tuen Mun-Sha Lo Wan-Tai O have resumed normal.

There are no reports of major obstructions to the highways.

The container terminals have resumed operation. Truck drivers are reminded to pay attention to the special arrangement of handling of goods announced by the container terminals. As traffic in Kwai Chung area is expected to be very busy, members of the public are advised to avoid going to the area unless absolutely necessary and to travel on MTR.

Besides, Transport Department will resume normal services today. All Vehicle Examination Centres will start operation at 8.30 am, while the Licensing Offices in Hong Kong, Kowloon, Kwun Tong and Sha Tin will be open at 9.00 am. All Driving Examination Centres will also operate as their normal office hours.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully and listen to radio broadcast about latest traffic condition.
