The first phase of works under stage one will commence at 7 am tomorrow (January 3).

The second phase of works under stage one will commence at 7 am on January 6.

Areas affected by the works will include some coach waiting spaces on both sides of the Terminal Building and outbound kiosk lanes 5, 6 and 7.

The inbound kiosks lanes no. 1 and 2, which are affected by the Terminal Building extension works, will be closed. Lane no. 3 will be converted for the sole use of coaches, while lanes no. 6 and 7 will be closed for the upgrading of kiosks.

In addition, the new inbound kiosk lanes no. 13, 14 and 15 will commence operation at the same time.

During the implementation of the second phase of works, there will be nine outbound and 10 inbound kiosk lanes for use of cross-boundary traffic.

Works of this phase are expected to be complete by July 2001.

The traffic diversion works of both phases under stage one will be carried out respectively at night on both January 2 and 5.
