Transitional arrangements for CHT prepaid tickets

The Transport Department today (Monday) reminds motorists that the following arrangements will cease after February 29 this year:

A spokesman for the department said: "The refund arrangement can either by post or in person at the Cross-Harbour Tunnel Administration Building, Hung Hom, Kowloon.

"Once verifying the pre-paid tickets, the Cross-Harbour Tunnel Company Ltd. will send the refund by cheque to the address provided by the claimant."

For details of the refund arrangements, they should approach the Cross-Harbour Tunnel Co. Ltd. at telephone 2333 4141.

"The above refund arrangement," the spokesman pointed out, "will not be applicable to tickets for vehicles of consulates and disabled drivers, which are exempted from passage tax."

Holders of such tickets can apply for refund at the department's licensing offices from now until February 29 this year. They can also call at 2804 2642 and 2771 4306 for inquiries.

The new prepaid tickets for the Cross-Harbour Tunnel are now available for sale at the Cross-Harbour Tunnel Administration Building and at the other sale outlets designated by the Transport Department.
