Public transport and traffic situation update 1

The Transport Department's Emergency Transport Co-ordination Centre continues monitoring the transport and traffic situation in the territory during the hoisting of typhoon signal no. 8.

On land, bus services including KMB (except KCR East Rail feeders), New World First Bus, City Bus (except route no. S1, S52 and S52P) and Long Win Bus (except route no. S1, S63 and S64 at reduced frequencies) have been suspended. New Lantao Bus services were also suspended except limited service for route no. 38.

All outlying island and inner harbour ferry services have been suspended.

Services of the MTR remain normal at reduced frequencies. Its Airport Express Line is running at a frequency of 10 minutes and Tung Chung Line at a frequency of 15 minutes.

KCR East Rail (between Hung Hom and Lo Wu) and LRT are running at a frequency of 10 minutes.

Services of Tram and Peak Tram were suspended.

Members of the public are advised to pay attention to radio and TV announcements to obtain the latest information on road conditions and transport services.
