Quality Taxi Driver Award 2000

Taxi passengers and tourists are reminded that they can still nominate taxi drivers who provide good services to compete for the Quality Taxi Driver Award 2000, of which the nomination period has been extended till March 26, 2000.

The form is also available for download at Transport Department's home page (http://www.td.gov.hk).

Staff of the Transport Department will also distribute the nomination forms to taxi passengers direct at the following taxi stands on a rotation basis during morning peak hours, at noon and evening peak hours:

	Times Square / Kai Chiu Road in Causeway Bay
	Tai Koo Shing
	Ocean Park
	Star Ferry at Tsim Sha Tsui

	Kowloon KCR Station at Hung Hom
	Kowloon Tong KCR Station
	Wang Tau Hom South Road
	Kwun Tong Yue Man Square
	Kwai Fong MTR Station / Metro Plaza
	Ma Liu Shui Public Transport Interchange
	Tai Po KCR Station
	Sheung Shui KCR Station near Choi Yuen Road
	Yuen Long Hong King Street / Sai Yue Street

The award scheme is jointly organised by the Ad hoc Quality Taxi Services Steering Committee, Transport Department and taxi associations. It aims at giving taxi drivers incentives to keep up the provision of professional taxi services and to brush up taxi service quality.

Completed nomination forms, together with the relevant taxi fare receipts, should be returned to the Transport Department by mail or by fax (no. 2824 2176) on or before March 26 this year.
