Extension of public transport services

The Transport Department announces that the operating hours of a number of public transport services will be extended on Sunday (April 30) and Monday (May 1) to tie in with the last departure of Kowloon Canton Railway (KCR) train service from Lo Wu.

The last departures of Kowloon Motor Bus routes 70K (Wah Ming - Sheung Shui) and 276P (Sheung Shui - Tin Shui Wai Town Centre) will leave KCR Sheung Shui Station at 1 am on May 1 and 2, while route 71K (Tai Wo - Tai Po Market) will leave KCR Tai Po Market Station at 1.05 am.

For routes 87K (KCR University Station - Kam Ying Court), 81K (San Tin Wai - Sui Wo Court) and 88K (Royal Ascot - Hin Keng), as well as 83K (Sha Tin Town Centre - Wong Nai Tau), their last trips will depart KCR University Station, Fo Tan Station and Sha Tin Station respectively at 1.15 am on May 1 and 2.

Moreover, the last departures of routes 80M (Kowloon Tong - Sui Wo Court), 81M (Kowloon Tong - San Tin Wai), 82M (Kowloon Tong - Kwong Yuen) and 88M (Kowloon Tong - Hin Keng) will leave KCR Kowloon Tong Station at 1.20 am on May 1 and 2.

On green minibus services, the operating hours of the following routes will be extended to 1 am on May 1 and 2:

* 44A (KCR Sheung Shui Station - Tuen Mun New Town) * 44 (KCR Sheung Shui Station - Tuen Mun Ferry Pier)
* 20K (KCR Tai Po Market Station - Sam Mun Tsai)

For passengers at KCR Kowloon Tong, Mong Kok and Hung Hom Stations, they are advised to make use of the existing overnight bus and green minibus services to reach their destinations. The services will be strengthened if the demand warrants.
