Full-time pedestrianisation of Paterson Street proposed

To improve the overall environment for pedestrians, the Government has proposed to designate the section of Paterson Street between Great George Street and Yee Wo Street as pedestrian zone.

Details of the proposal are published in the Government Gazette today (April 28).

Members of the public may now inspect the plan showing the proposed works at the Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Central and Western District Office and Wan Chai District Office, as well as the District Lands Office/Hong Kong West.

Any person who objects to the works or the use should write to the Secretary for Transport before June 27 this year.
