Relocation of Kowloon Licensing Offices on April 25

Members of the public will get to enjoy a comfortable environment as the Kowloon Licensing Office, Kowloon Driving Test Appointment Office and Kowloon Written Test Office of the Licensing Division of the Transport Department are relocated to the new Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices (CSWGO) on April 25, 2000, the day after the Easter Holidays.

The new offices, with a floor area of about 2,000 square metres, is fitted with a spacious waiting hall and a total of 31 service counters, which is six more than the number in the old offices.

"With better facilities, we hope a better customer service to the public will be provided, a goal we have always been striving for," said a spokesman for the department.

The three offices, which are presently located on the ninth floor of the Park-in Commercial Centre, 56 Dundas Street, Kowloon and have been in use since 1978, will cease operation after April 20, 2000.

Situated on the second floor of the CSWGO, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon, the new offices are about 5-minute walk from the Sham Shui Po MTR Station and are just adjacent to the Dragon Centre.
