Tenders invited for eight new green minibus routes

The Transport Department today (April 4) reminds interested parties to submit applications for the operation of eight new green minibus (GMB) routes before noon on April 7.

Speaking on the tender, a spokesman for the department said: "The routes are designed to serve residents in Kowloon and the New Terriotories, and they are expected to be introduced in seven to eight months' time."

These routes are :

* Po Lam Road Estate to Lam Tin MTR Station (Circular)
* Sau Mau Ping Estate (Phase 5) to Lam Tin MTR Station (Circular)
* Grand View Garden to Festival Walk Public Transport Terminus
* MTR Kowloon Station to Ho Man Tin Hill Road (Circular)
* Bayshore Towers, Ma On Shan to Heng On Estate, Ma On Shan (Circular)
* Sui Wo Court to Prince of Wales Hospital (Circular)
* Princess Margaret Hospital to Northeast Kwai Chung
* Tsing Yi AR Station to Riviera Gardens, Tsuen Wan(Circular)

Applications must be made on the appropriate form entitled "Application for Passenger Service Licence in Respect of the Packages of Public Light Bus (Scheduled) Routes Gazetted in March 2000." Forms can be obtained on request from the following offices:

* Transport Department Headquarters, 41st floor, Immigration Tower, 7 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong;
* Kowloon and New Territories Regional Offices, Transport Department, seventh floor, Mongkok Government Offices, 30 Luen Wan Street, Kowloon;
* Hong Kong Licensing Office, third floor, United Centre, 95 Queensway, Hong Kong;
* Kowloon Licensing Office, ninth floor, Park-in Commercial Centre, 56 Dundas Street, Kowloon;
* Kwun Tong Licensing Office, fifth floor, Kowloon East Government Office, 12 Lei Yue Mun Road, Kowloon; and
* Sha Tin Licensing Office, fifth floor, Citylink Plaza, Sha Tin Station, New Territories.

Completed application forms, in sealed envelope marked with the tender reference, should be placed in the Transport Department Tender Box at 41st floor, Immigration Tower, 7 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai before noon on April 7 (Friday) this year.

Applications by any other means or late applications will not be considered.
