Special traffic and transport arrangements in Causeway Bay

The Transport Department announces that the section of Lockhart Road east of Cannon Street, East Point Road, the section of Great George Street west of Paterson Street, and Paterson Street northbound between Yee Wo Street and Kingston Street will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from 2 pm to 7 pm tomorrow (June 3) to facilitate the holding of the World Environment Day Carnival.

All vehicles on Lockhart Road eastbound heading for Paterson Street and the carparks at Great George Street should be diverted via Percival Street southbound, Yee Wo Street eastbound, Sugar Street, Gloucester Road northbound and Kingston Street westbound.

The journeys of Cross Harbour Routes 103 and 170 towards Chuk Yuen Estate and Sha Tin respectively will be diverted to travel via Causeway Road, Hing Fat Street, and Victoria Park Road.

The bus stop at No 37 Paterson Street for these bus routes will be temporarily suspended. Passengers are advised to take buses at the bus stop at No 262 Gloucester Road instead.

Busy traffic is expected in the northern area of Causeway Bay tomorrow, and motorists are advised to avoid driving there. Those who have to travel there are urged to drive with care and pay attention to the instructions given by police officers there.
