Transport Department staff to wear new uniform

Frontline staff of the Transport Department (TD) including Driving Examiners, Transport Controllers, Motor Vehicle Examiners and Vehicle Testers will put on new uniforms with effect from August 1.

Announcing the new arrangements today (July 30), a TD spokesman said the newly designed uniform, both winter and summer, would be in green which matches TD's corporate colour.

"The change reinforces the corporate image of the Department in providing a better service to the public. The design is more updated and the use of better materials improves the comfort of wear for the staff. It also looks into the safety side, e.g. the use of reflective strips in the uniform," he said.

"The provision of a wet and wind foul jacket also protects our staff during adverse weather," he added.
