New Bus-Bus Interchange Scheme between Sha Tin and Kln City

The Transport Department announced today (January 27) that with effect from Monday (January 31), KMB would introduce a Bus-Bus Interchange Scheme between Routes 82M (Kwong Yuen -- Kowloon Tong MTR Station)/83K (Wong Nai Tau -- Sha Tin Central, Circular) and Route 85A (Yu Chui Court -- Kowloon City Ferry) in the direction of Kowloon City.

Passengers of Route 82M can enjoy a fare discount of $3.70 (non air-conditioned buses) or $5.30 (air-conditioned buses) on the second leg of their journey on Route 85A, while passengers of Route 83K can enjoy a fare discount of $3.20 (non air-conditioned buses) or $3.50 (air-conditioned buses) on the second leg of their journey on Route 85A. All payments should be paid by the same Octopus card within two hours and 30 minutes.

A Transport Department spokesman said as the new interchange scheme would cover the service area of morning special departures of Route 83P (Kwong Yuen to Kowloon City Ferry Pier), the route would be suspended on the same day.

Meanwhile, the peak hour service of Route 286P (Lee On -- Mei Lam) will be suspended on the same day. Passengers can take the following KMB bus routes for different destinations along the corridor:

* 80K (Sun Chui * Yu Chui Court)
* 81C (Yiu On -- Hung Hom Station)
* 82K (Mei Lam -- Fo Tan KCR Station)
* 83K (Wong Nai Tau -- Sha Tin Central, Circular)
* 85K (Heng On -- Sha Tin KCR Station)
* 86C (Lee On -- Kom Tsun Street, Cheung Sha Wan)
* 86K (Kam Ying Court -- Sha Tin KCR Station)
* 283 (Sha Tin Central -- Mei Chung Court, Circular)
