Cross boundary bus service during Easter holidays

The Transport Department today (March 24) reminded passengers who intend to use cross boundary bus services during the Easter holidays to plan their journeys and to travel by rail via Lo Wu Control Point as far as possible.

"Many passengers are expected to use the Lok Ma Chau-Huanggang cross boundary shuttle bus service (the Yellow Bus) or the six Hong Kong-Huanggang cross boundary coach routes with fixed schedules and stopping points to travel via the Lok Ma Chau Control Point.

Passengers are advised to make their journey during the less busy periods in late morning or early afternoon," a department spokesman said.

"The waiting time for the cross boundary bus services could be longer if traffic at the Lok Ma Chau crossing is busy, so intending passengers should observe order and advice from the on-site staff," he said.

The spokesman advised passengers to pay attention to radio/TV broadcast on traffic conditions, or ring 2471 0792 to enquire about the latest queueing situation with the Yellow Bus operator.
