Citybus Route 962 reorganised

Citybus Route 962 from Tuen Mun (Lung Mun Oasis) to Causeway Bay (Moreton Terrace) will be reorganised with effect from August 23, the Transport Department says.

The aim of the reorganisation is to meet the needs of Tuen Mun residents on cross-harbour bus services. Details of the reorganisation are as follows:

With effect from Monday (August 23):

1.  Special trips numbered as 962B and 962X will be introduced. The route 962B between Tuen Mun (Chi Lok Fa Yuen) and Admiralty MTR Station (West) will operate during morning and evening peak hours from Monday to Saturday (except public holidays) via Siu Lam and Sham Tseng.
Route 962X will operate between Tuen Mun (Lung Mun Oasis) and Admiralty MTR Station (West) from 8.40am to 7.55pm from Monday to Saturday (except public holidays) via Tuen Mun Road and Route 3 direct in lieu of Castle Peak Road.
2.  The operation period and service frequency of the existing route 962 will be adjusted.
3.  The operation period of the existing routes 962S, 962P and N962 will be adjusted.

With effect from Sunday (August 22):

Bus-Bus Interchange Schemes with fare discounts will be offered to Octopus card users who take Route 962 to travel between specified routes within the time limit.

Existing Routes 962A and X962 will remain unchanged. The concerned bus company will post up notices at terminuses and major stops along the bus routes concerned to inform passengers of the above arrangements.
