Special traffic and transport arrangements in Central for MTR Road Race Walking Competition on Sunday

Members of the public are advised that the MTR Road Race Walking Competition 2005 will be held on Sunday (April 3).

The routeing of the competition is from Chater Road via Ice House Street, eastbound carriageway of Des Voeux Road Central, Murray Road and back to Chater Road.

Special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in the morning of April 3, 2005. They include:

1. The Chater Road Pedestrian Precinct will be implemented from 3am to 11.59pm.

2. Temporary road closure and traffic diversions along the routeing from 7am to 11am.

3. Temporary diversion of 28 bus routes and one green minibus route passing through the routeing from 7am to 11am; and

4. Temporary suspension of bus stops along the routeing from 7am to 11am.
