Extension of temporary diversion of buses nos. 2 and 70

   The Transport Department announced today (June 15) that the temporary bus diversion implemented on Monday (June 13) to help relieve the traffic on the eastbound direction of Gloucester Road would continue to be implemented between tomorrow (June 16) and June 22 (Wednesday).

    New World First Bus (NWFB) route no. 2 towards Aldrich Bay

(from 1st departure on June 16 until last departure on June 22):

    NWFB route no. 2 on journeys to Aldrich Bay will continue to be diverted via Hennessy Road and Yee Wo Street in lieu of Lockhart Road, Gloucester Road, Victoria Park Road and Causeway Bay Flyover.

    The bus stops for the above route on Lockhart Road and Gloucester Road will be temporarily suspended. Replacement stops will be provided at the following places:

- Hennessy Road eastbound near junction of Fenwick Street;

- Hennessy Road eastbound near junction of O'Brien Road;

- Hennessy Road eastbound west of Stewart Road;

- Hennessy Road eastbound east of Tonnochy Road;

- Hennessy Road eastbound outside Sogo Department; and

- Causeway Bay outside Victoria Park.

    CityBus route no. 70 - towards Aberdeen (from 4.30 pm to the last departure daily from June 16 to 22):

    CityBus route no. 70 on journeys to Aberdeen will continue to be diverted via Hennessy Road, Fleming Road, Wan Chai Road, Morrison Hill Road and Wong Nai Chung Road in lieu of Gloucester Road and Canal Road Flyover.

    The bus stop for the above route on Gloucester Road outside Immigration Tower will be temporarily suspended. A replacement stop will be provided at Hennessy Road eastbound near junction of O'Brien Road.

    Notices will be displayed by bus companies at relevant bus stops to advise passengers of the changes. Details will also be available at "traffic notice board" on the department's homepage (www.info.gov.hk/td).
