Temporary Traffic Diversion on Causeway Bay

To facilitate the reconstruction of Causeway Bay Flyover, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented from about 8am on Sunday (August 14) for about 15 months:

*  The divergent point on the Causeway Bay Flyover for traffic heading to Tai Hang and Causeway Bay will be moved southwards by about 70 metres.

*  Motorists heading to Tai Hang (and Causeway Road) should keep left when leaving the down ramp of the flyover; and

*  Motorists heading to Causeway Bay (and Gloucester Road service road) should keep right when leaving the down ramp of the flyover.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to remind motorists.

"Motorists are advised to drive carefully and pay attention to the traffic signs," a government spokesman said.

The reconstruction works began in June this year and are expected to take about two years to complete. Upon completion, road capacity will be improved to relieve traffic congestion at the Causeway Bay Flyover and the Island Eastern Corridor eastbound outside Victoria Park.
