Commissioner for Transport visits Disneyland

The Commissioner for Transport, Mr Alan Wong Chi-kong, today (August 15) paid a visit to Disneyland Resort Public Transport Interchange (PTI) to see readiness of the transport facilities to tie in with the second phase opening of the theme park.  The PTI is situated north of the Disneyland, where bus termini, taxi pick-up/drop off areas, toilets and guest relations centre are located.

Mr Wong also took a ride on the shuttle bus Rt. No. R8A to have a first hand experience of the feeder service from the PTI to the Inspiration Lake.

He said: "I am confident that the transport infrastructure and services are ready to meet visitors' demand.

"To avoid over crowding, we do not encourage visitors without admission tickets to go to the Penny's Bay hastily on the rehearsal days from August 16 to September 11, although some public facilities are open."

"Visitors and the public should make use of public transport services to the Penny's Bay, and if drive, drivers should pay heed to the new traffic signs."
