Peak Tram service suspended between September 5 and 8

    A Transport Department spokesman said today (September 2) that the Peak Tram service would be suspended between September 5 and 8 for maintenance of the tram system. The following temporary public transport arrangements would be implemented during the suspension period:

- Diversion of bus route No. 15 service:

New World First Bus route No. 15 (Exchange Square, Central - The Peak) will be diverted to operate via the Lower Peak Tram Station on Garden Road for journey to the Peak. The service will be strengthened to meet passenger demand when necessary.

- Suspension of bus route no. 15C service:

The service of New World First Bus route no. 15C (Star Ferry-Garden Road, Lower Peak Tram Station) will be suspended during suspension of the tram service.

- Green minibus route No. 1 strengthened if needed:

The service of green minibus route no. 1 (Hong Kong Station Public Transport Interchange, Central -The Peak) will be strengthened to meet passenger demand if needed.

     The Peak Tramways Company Limited and the bus company will put up notices at Peak Tram stations and bus stops to inform passengers of the temporary arrangements.
