Special transport and traffic arrangements near Choi Hung Roundabout

     A Transport Department spokesman announced today (November 2, 2005) that due to water mains maintenance works near Choi Hung roundabout, all vehicular left-turn movement from Hammer Hill Road downhill bound to the slip road leading to Choi Hung roundabout will be temporarily banned from 10am tomorrow (November 3) for about one week.

     "Motorists on Hammer Hill Road downhill bound intending to turn back to Hammer Hill are advised to travel via Choi Hung Road westbound, Choi Yee Lane, Sze Mei Street and Choi Hung Road eastbound to Hammer Hill Road uphill bound," he said.

    KMB Route no. 3D, 11C, 74X, 80X, 83X, 89C, 89D, 89X, 91, 92, 96R and 277X, NWFB Route No. 796B and Cross Harbour Route No. 302, heading to Sai Kung / Kwun Tong / Choi Hung, will be diverted via Choi Hung Road westbound, San Po Kong Public Transport Terminus, Choi Hung Road eastbound, Choi Hung roundabout and then resume normal routeing.

     "Appropriate temporary traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists,"the spokesman said.
