Closure of Tseung Kwan O Road (2nd stage)

     The middle land of Tseung Kwan O Road (Kowloon-bound, near its junction with Lin Tak Road Slip Road exit to a point about 200 metres west of the same junctinon) will be closed to all traffic for maintenance works from 10 am tomorrow (November 7, Monday) to 6am on Wednesday (November 9).

     A Transport Department spokesman stated that traffic congestion might occur on Tseung Kwan O Road Kowloon bound, especially during peak hours.  He urged members of the public to pay special attention.

     "Please avoid driving via that area as far as possible. Please take the mass transit railway (MTR) instead," the spokesman said. "If you have to take buses or minibuses that travel via the area concerned, please start your journey early and be prepared for a longer journey time."

     Details of the closure are as follows:

Time: from 10 am on November 7, 2005 (Monday) to 6 am on November 9, 2005 (Wednesday)

Details: the middle lane of Tseung Kwan O Road westbound near its junction with Lin Tak Road slip road exit to a point about 200 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all traffic.

     Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. “Motorists are advised to pay attention to the traffic signs there, drive with care and patience," the spokesman added.

     Meanwhile, the first stage of maintenance works on the slow  lane of Tseung Kwan O Road westbound between Lin Tak Road Flyover and its junction with Lin Tak Road slip road had already started on Saturday (November 5) and would be completed in the early morning on Monday (November 7).
