People invited to vote for best customer service TD staff

     The Transport Department will conduct the "Best Customer Service Awards 2005-2006" poll between November 21 and 25, 2005 (Monday to Friday). All frontline staff of the Driving Services Section, the Vehicle Safety & Standards Division and the Licensing Section (including the Licensing Unit, the Vehicle Inspection and Records Unit, the Cross Boundary Unit and the Public Vehicles Unit) can be nominated and be voted for by the public for their best customer services provided.

     "The objective of the awards is to encourage our frontline staff to keep providing quality service to the public and to demonstrate the belief of 'Putting our hearts into it' in our service.  We are determined to provide quality customer service that meets expectation of our customers," a department spokesman said.

     People are invited to visit the participating offices during the election period and nominate the best frontline staff for the award.

     "There will be 54 individual and group awards. Announcement of the result and the award presentation ceremony will be held in mid January, 2006," the spokesman said.
 
     "To express our appreciation of the public's support to the event, 20 gift coupons worth HK$100 each will be given to voters in a lucky draw," he said.
