Traffic arrangements for temporary closure of Prince Edward Road East Link Road in Kowloon City (with maps)

Due to the footbridge demolition works, parts of Prince Edward Road East (Link Road) will be temporarily closed, a Transport Department spokesman said.

* The section of Prince Edward Road East (Link Road) westbound from Choi Hung Road to Kowloon City Interchange will be closed from 11pm to 6am the following day from Thursday to Saturday (November 17 to 19).

* The section of Prince Edward Road East (Link Road) eastbound from Kowloon City Interchange to Choi Hung Road will be closed from 11.59pm to 6am the following day from Thursday to Saturday (November 17 to 19).

During the road closure, the following traffic diversions will be implemented:

* Motorists on Prince Edward Road East westbound and Choi Hung Road southbound heading for Prince Edward Road West may travel via Prince Edward Road East (Main Road) westbound, Kowloon City Interchange and Prince Edward Road West westbound; or other alternative routeings.

* Motorists on Ma Tau Chung Road eastbound heading for San Po Kong may travel via Kowloon City Interchange, Prince Edward Road East (Main Road) eastbound and Choi Hung Road northbound; or other alternative routeings.

* Motorists on Ma Tau Chung Road eastbound heading for Kwun Tong may travel via Kowloon City Interchange and Prince Edward Road East (Main Road) eastbound; or other alternative routeings.
 
"Details of the special traffic and transport arrangements are now available at the Traffic Notices of the Department's Homepage (http://www.td.gov.hk). Temporary traffic signs will be erected to guide the motorists," the spokesman added.
