Temporary traffic and transport arrangements in Causeway Bay (with map)

    Special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Causeway Bay from about 1am to 5.30am tomorrow and Wednesday (January 10 and 11) while an elevated working platform is dismantled.

     A Transport Department spokesman today (January 9) reminded people that the following road closure and traffic diversion measures would be implemented at:

* Victoria Park Road westbound between Gloucester Road and Hing Fat Street;
* Island Eastern Corridor (IEC) westbound between Victoria Park Road and Hing Fat Street;
* Tsing Fung Street westbound between Electric Road and Hing Fat Street;
* Tsing Fung Street Flyover;  
* The westbound slip road leading from Hing Fat Street to Victoria Park Road westbound;
* The Tong Shui Road slip road leading from junction of King's Road westbound to IEC westbound;
* The Tong Shui Road slip road leading from Wharf Road eastbound to IEC westbound and the section of Wharf Road eastbound near the old Government Supplies Department and sub-store; and
* The section of slip road heading to the IEC from the junction of King's Road/Healthy Street Central.

Temporary Bus Diversions

* Bus route no. N118 from IEC westbound heading to Sham Shui Po will be diverted via Hing Fat Street slip road, Wing Hing Street, King's Road westbound, Tung Lo Wan Road, Tai Hang Road flyover and Gloucester Road northbound before resuming its original route.  
 * Bus route no. N102 on King's Road westbound heading to Mei Foo will be diverted via King's Road, Tung Lo Wan Road, Tai Hang Road flyover and Gloucester Road northbound before resuming its original route.  
* Bus route no. N170 on Causeway Road eastbound heading to Sha Tin will be diverted via Ngan Mok Street, Lau Li Street, King's Road westbound, Tung Lo Wan Road, Tai Hang Road flyover and Gloucester Road northbound before resuming its original route. The bus stop on Hing Fat Street outside Victoria Park will be suspended. A replacement stop will be provided on Ngan Mok Street near Yacht Street.  
 * Bus route no. N8P from IEC westbound heading to Wan Chai will be diverted via Hing Fat Street slip road, Wing Hing Street, King's Road westbound, Tung Lo Wan Road, Tai Hang Road flyover and Gloucester Road northbound before resuming its original route.

     Details of the special traffic and transport arrangements are now available at the Traffic Notices section of the department's website (http://www.td.gov.hk). Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists," the spokesman added.
