Construction of TYNCR Traffic Control and Surveillance System commences
The Transport Department today (November 23) signed a $27.6 million works contract with ABB Industrial and Building Systems Limited for the construction of the Tsing Yi North Coastal Road Traffic Control and Surveillance System (TYNCR TCSS).
The works mainly comprise the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of the TYNCR TCSS.
Upon completion, the new system will be fully integrated with the existing Tsing Ma Control Area TCSS to provide flexible and highly efficient traffic management.
Construction of the project which commences this week will be completed in early 2002.
