(CHAPTER 374)

Taxi Prohibited Zones In Ma Wan, Tsuen Wan

 

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 8.00 pm on 26 August 2009, all roads in Ma Wan (excluding Ma Wan Road and the roundabout between Ma Wan Road and Pak Lam Road) will be designated prohibited zones for taxis 24 hours daily.

 

          Drivers of all taxis, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from driving taxis into the prohibited zones 24 hours daily.

 

          The extent of the prohibited zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.

 

          At the same time, the existing taxi prohibited zone on Pak Lam Road, Tsuen Wan as gazetted in G.N. 4504 of 2008 will be rescinded.
