"North Point - Kwun Tong" Licensed Ferry Service

               Members of the public are advised that tenders were invited in March 2009 for operating "North Point - Kwun Tong" licensed ferry service (the "Ferry Service").  The Transport Department announced that new ferry service licence is granted to Fortune Ferry Company Limited to operate the Ferry Service.

                The ferry service licence is for a period of three years commencing from 1 September 2009, which upon application from the operator may be extended subject to satisfactory performance of the operator in provision of the Ferry Service.  The service level and the fare of the Ferry Services to be provided under the new licence will be the same as the existing arrangements.

                Appropriate notices will be put up by the ferry operator at relevant piers to inform passengers of the details of the operating arrangements of the Ferry Service.
