ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

 

Restricted Zone at Sau Fu Street, Yuen Long

 

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 16 October 2009, the eastern kerbside lane of Sau Fu Street from a point about 70 metres south of its junction with Yuen Long On Ning Road, to the western kerbside lane of Kiu Lok Square from its junction with Sau Fu Street to a point about 16 metres north of the same junction will be designated a restricted zone from 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily.

 

Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

 

(a)                picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)               loading or unloading goods.

 

The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

 

At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above road section from 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily will be rescinded.
