ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS
(Chapter 374)

Restricted Zone on Mei Lai Road, Lai Chi Kok

                In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 13 November 2009, the eastern kerbside lane of Mei Lai Road from a point about 75 metres north of its junction with Cheung Sha Wan Road to a point about 110 metres north of the same junction will be designated a restricted zone from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily.

                Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

  (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
  (b)  loading or unloading goods.

                The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

                At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above road section will be rescinded.
